Introducing "The Fishmonger’s Daughters"
A New Digital Art Series

I am thrilled to finally share a project that has been close to my heart for months. "The Fishmonger’s Daughters" is a new three-piece digital art series that blends eerie, historical portraiture with a touch of maritime surrealism.

Each piece in this collection captures a quiet, haunting moment between a young girl and a creature from the deep sea.

The Inspiration Behind the Collection

The concept for this series started with a simple question: What if classical Victorian portraiture met the strange, textured world of a coastal fish market?

I wanted to create characters that felt both innocent and deeply connected to the mysteries of the ocean. To achieve this, I focused heavily on oil-painting textures, muted earth tones, and striking, expressive eyes that seem to look right through the viewer.

The complete trio includes:

  • The Daughter with the Fish: A somber portrait featuring a massive, glistening catch.

  • The Daughter with the Lobster: A study in sharp contrasts, featuring deep dark tones and rigid textures.

  • The Daughter with the Octopus: Featured below, highlighting the soft, intertwined forms of a young girl holding a massive, textured cephalopod.
